Job Description

General Summary:

Assist HSE and Engineering professionals with administrative and practical support to sustain and develop programs for the Health, Safety and Environmental function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Focused project on evaluating energy sources (including stored energy) of production equipment, including those with automation.

•Update procedures and documents to support hazardous energy evaluation and control.

•Participate in HSE audits and inspections of the facility and equipment/processes and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance.

•Support various projects relating to environmental, safety, security and the environment.



Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Ability to work within a team. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrate initiative in resolving problems and improving systems. Must be able to develop operational knowledge and the have  ability to make good decisions. Must be able to manage and utilize time well; multi-tasking skills are a must.

Supports and actively participates in continuous improvement activities and applies Lean principles in efforts to reduce variation in our products and our processes.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged period(s) of standing may be required. Must be able to lift 15 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to work in all areas of the plan

Education Requirements:  High School Education or GED required and must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to Health, Safety and Environmental or Engineering.

Experience and Skill Requirements:  Proficiency with time management and multi-tasking. Previous exposure to manufacturing or automated equipment desired.
